The world of My Little Pony is full of interesting and entertaining episodes, but one that stands out is “Too Many Pinkie Pies,” Season 3 Episode 3. The episode follows the lovable and energetic Pinkie Pie as she struggles with the decision of which fun activity to choose with her friends. Desperate to be in multiple places at the same time, Pinkie then remembers the legend of the Mirror Pond to create a clone of herself. However, things quickly spiral out of control when the clone also wants to be in multiple places, leading to a horde of Pinkies causing chaos in Ponyville.
In the end, Twilight manages to send the clones back, leaving the original Pinkie to continue her adventures with her friends. This episode has sparked some theories and discussions among fans, making it a memorable and thought-provoking addition to the My Little Pony universe.
Do we now have the original pinkie? Or was she replaced by her clone?
It’s safe to say that the Pinkie we know and love is the original one. The clones may look identical, but they lack the memories and genuine affection for Pinkie’s friends that make her who she is. Unlike the clones, the real Pinkie is willing to sacrifice her own fun for the sake of her friends, demonstrating her deep love and loyalty. While the clone pinkies may have created a fun-filled frenzy in Ponyville, it’s the real Pinkie’s unique personality, and love for her friends that make her the one and only Pinkie Pie.
Surviving Clones: The Mystery Continues in “Saddle Row Review”
While Twilight managed to send back all of the Pinkie clones to the Mirror Pond in “Too Many Pinkie Pies,” there is evidence that at least one clone survived. In “Saddle Row Review,” Season 6 Episode 9, a Pinkie lookalike is spotted as a backup dancer looking like she’s trying to blend in, leading some fans to speculate that she could be another clone.
However, the one confirmed surviving clone appears in the same episode, as Pinkie is seen eating pancakes while the clone was revealed to be sitting behind her. As these clones seem to have developed their own personalities and live in Equestria, perhaps it’s time for Twilight and her friends to reconsider their stance on the clones. After all, they are no longer simply copies of Pinkie, but unique individuals who have found a new home and possibly even new friends in the magical world of Equestria.
Although the number of the surviving Pinkie clones remains as an open-ended discussion, one thing is for sure – with Pinkie’s infectious spirit and love for fun, having one or two more Pinkies living in Equestria probably shouldn’t hurt. Who knows what kind of wild adventures and crazy parties they could come up with together!
